Nautical and Nice

DSC 0166

The nautical ensemble is by far our favorite theme that the A-Fash agreed on. Our matching outfits were aesthetically delicious that we overheard a group of ladies murmuring “Ang cute nila, parang mga sailor.” ☺

The A-Fash‘s theme this week was vintage-inspired. It was the elder sister, Joyce, who actually suggested it and good thing the ladies agreed. By the way, yesterday was Frances and Flair’s second monthsary (LOL yes we celebrate it :D). It has been two beautiful months with each one of you our dear readers; let’s journey together even to old-age. Yes, we definitely desire to blog through the years. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have outfit posts with our respective future husbands and kids? That is, in the distant future. We utterly have no plans to be young mommas, you know. 😀

Scarf prints are making its comeback recently. It has become a summer wardrobe trend wherein its acme was still way back the 1950s-1960s. You see, trends just come and go then come back again so it’s not a must to always wear trendy clothes. You would step it up a notch if you invent and reinvent or better yet, be the trendsetter yourself. ☺

We’ve been into long flowy skirts lately because apart from the fact that they’re comfy, they give us a carefree and happy vibe. When the A-Fash had a deal on sporting the Bohemian theme last Wednesday, we were too excited that we actually had a dress rehearsal the night before. Haha! Yes, that’s how we love fashion! We consider every outfit an instant expression of our creativity. ☺

Joyce: “I know you guys barely notice my hair color unless you already saw me in person. It’s actually moss green in its ends. I didn’t mean to have it that way. To make the story short, it was a result of the cellophane treatment I had last summer but since a number of friends love the unintended effect, I didn’t bother changing it. ☺”

STATISTICS

Now this one is quirky business:

092

One of the best things we love about A-Fash (read more here) is the awesome way that we could be both prim and proper and goofy at the same time. These ladies always receive the impressions of being “maarte” or “mataray” due to the appearance. Well, to us, it’s usual, yet we always end up proving them wrong. In a deeper sense, we are warm-hearted – only if you allow yourself to know us better without the prejudice.

0922

Yesterday was our University Dress Up Day. It’s a day we (pertaining to Joyce and Didi, not everyone at ADNU) often anticipate wherein  every member of the Ateneo de Naga community is encouraged to wear business attire. Too bad some just don’t get the notion of it – they unbelievably wear party clothes instead which is a major no-no!

DSC 8663

Well moving on, we are so happy that Personalized Accessories sent us necklaces from their Simply Stunning Collection. Their pieces are so unique and fab that we just can’t get enough of it. We do hope they’ll send us some items again in the future. Before all the daydreaming heightens, go visit their page now and see what’s in store for you. By the way, we blogged about the shop here. ☺

Didi: “Would you believe that I got the pants for only Php 100? What’s best is that it fitted me perfectly!”

Triangle Necklace, Personalized Accessories; handcrafted ring, gift from Ate Nagj

Joyce: “I had to let Didi paint my nails just to match my shoes even if I’m not used to having manicure. That’s the reason why I seldom grow my nails long.”

Our shoes are actually sponsored, too. Thanks so much to our Tito Paul who’s always there for the both of us – may it be on serious matters or vain matters such as these, haha! He never fails to give us his all-out support in all our undertakings. We love you Tito Paul!

A-Fash ❤

DSC 7281

DSC 7280

Finally, the Ateneo Fashionistas had their first shoot at school. Though some were still aloof because it’s the group’s first meet-up, in the end, the moment turned out to be a wonderful bonding of fashionistas who consider themselves ladies of no superficial beauty, but in a deeper sense, ladies who let their beauty from the inside radiate and utilize their passion for fashion only as subordinate to it. And yes, we’re glad that we’re part of this! If you are from Ateneo de Naga, too, and you showcase your exceptional fashion sense in platforms like Tumblr or Lookbook, feel free to click on the link above and join our group. We will soon have a fashion blog featuring the A-Fash looks during Wednesdays (Wash Day), which is the most favorable time to fashion enthusiasts like us to strut in our outfits because of the uniform policy in our university. Yet, it is a must to still adhere to the dress code. Well at least we still have a day allotted to wearing civilian clothes, right? 🙂 STATISTICS
