Last June 27, we were asked to wear black to express our stand against the pointless killings in Zamboanga where an alumnus from Ateneo de Zamboanga was killed together with 250 other victims. Intentions of prayers for justice and eternal repose was offered during the mass. The whole Ateneo community was one in the search for peace and justice.
We showed our sentiments through —- what else? Clothes, of course! This ensemble is an instant classic. The black and white pair is timeless and elegant. I’ve been eyeing on this particular pants coz it’s an instant trend to celebrities and fashion icons alike after it took over the Spring 2013 fashion shows.
One of the ways to achieve the always classic black and white look would be pairing it in polished separates just like what I did here. The pants itself is a total eye catcher, plus it also gives a sexier silhouette for the thighs. This pair was originally my Mom’s, but since she doesn’t like it (you know old people, haha), I immediately asked our personal seamstress to alter it. And tadaaah! Perfect fit! ☺
What I’m wearing: black inner top and vest, thrifted; black and white Mango pants, gift from Uncle Tito Paul; Jeffrey Campbell platforms, thrifted
I received a lot of compliments for my outfit that day. Funny thing here is, what I’m holding is not a mere clutch but my handy laptop. I always bring my laptop to school lately because I have to spend a lot of time in the library to do research. When I say “a lot”, I really mean “A LOT”! *sigh* So I really have to juggle around my commitments.
I’m really glad to have shoots with A-Fash because I somehow escape stress by posing in front of the camera. Haha. This one was unplanned, it just so happened that the pioneer batch had a meeting so we took the opportunity to have photos taken. ☺
That’s all! I think I overshared in this post and I hope you didn’t get bored. Thank you for reading! ☺
P.S. I’ll be having my title defense for our thesis this July 28, just include me in your prayers. LOL. ☺
